Standard colours, bespoke colours and what they cost
Most of the chart is standard stock, mixed at the factory in controlled batches and available on a normal delivery. Bespoke and special-order shades are batched to a matched sample, usually carry a minimum order quantity, and add roughly £4–£8 per square metre plus two to three weeks of lead time. On a typical semi that is £400–£800 and a delayed start, so it is worth deciding early rather than mid-scaffold.
Whatever the colour, the whole job should be ordered in one go from one batch. Topping up halfway through an elevation is where visible day-joints and shade steps come from. How colours weather on different elevations
Colour does not fade evenly across a house. Your south-west elevation takes Wiltshire's prevailing wet weather and dries fastest; the shaded north side stays damp longer and greens up first, which shows earliest on whites and palest creams. Darker greys hide algae but run hotter in summer, and manufacturers restrict the deepest shades over insulation boards for exactly that reason.
None of this is a fault — silicone render is water-repellent, so dirt sits on the surface and washes off. A softwash every five to eight years brings any colour back.
